Alabama ShingleLock Rejuvenation / About
Clay County roofs. A preservation-first perspective.
Led by Adam Shaddix, Alabama ShingleLock Rejuvenation focuses on a single question: does your roof need replacing, or does it still have useful life to preserve?
Book Your Free InspectionThe person behind the business
Adam Shaddix.
Adam leads Alabama ShingleLock Rejuvenation, serving Clay County homeowners with ShingleLock asphalt shingle treatment. His approach begins with roof condition, not a replacement quote.
Alabama heat and humidity make preservation worth considering. But not every roof is a candidate. A sound structure, remaining granules, and an appropriate treatment plan matter more than the roof’s age alone.

Restore the oils.
Don’t disguise the wear.
01 /
Oxidation isn’t the whole diagnosis
Alabama UV, heat, and moisture can change asphalt and reduce shingle flexibility. Dryness may be treatable, but structural wear and storm damage require a separate assessment.
02 /
Penetration, not a surface layer
ShingleLock uses soy-derived oils intended to penetrate the asphalt matrix. This is rejuvenation of the existing shingle, not a roof coating or a new roofing system.
03 /
Evidence should match the product
Ask for the exact product’s lab reports, application requirements, and written warranty. A laboratory result for another treatment does not establish ShingleLock performance on your Clay County roof.
The roof you keep out of the landfill.
Preserving a qualifying Clay County roof avoids the tear-off waste that comes with replacement. A bio-based approach still needs proper handling and a roof that is genuinely suitable for treatment.
Product-specific testing and certification documents should be reviewed before treatment. Laboratory findings are not guarantees of roof life, fire protection, or hail performance.

What the laboratory
actually measured.
Independent 2024 laboratory testing of ShingleLock by PRI, the Performance Review Institute. These are results for the tested samples, not a prediction for your Clay County roof.
| Test | Result reported |
|---|---|
| Granule adhesion | 25% improvement for new shingles, 40% for 15-year shingles, 50% for 30-year shingles |
| Tear resistance | 16% improvement versus untreated shingles of the same age |
| Pliability | Reported 100% improvement; control rating −3, treated rating −6 on the test scale |
| PCB leachates | Below detection limits in the tested sample |
| VOC result | 0.02% reported for the tested sample |
